A passionate stylist, Sam loves nothing more than advising her brides on the perfect look for them.

“Your face shape and hair type can really influence your ultimate style choice”, said Sam, “Finding a style that really flatters your bone structure and works with the neckline of your dress is really important and I love helping brides make that decision. It really is the best part of my job!”

Practice Makes Perfect

A total perfectionist Sam always recommends a trying at least two different styles at your hair rehearsal prior to the big day.

“I think its important to try a few different looks for the big day,” said Sam. “Sometimes brides end up choosing something completely different to what they had in mind. Either way, its so important to me that my brides feel 100% confident. It’s not unusual for a bride to change her mind at the last minute too and I’m always happy to adapt the style or change it completely if need be – my brides always come first and I want them to look and feel fabulous.”

“Creating a beautiful, timeless look for your bridesmaids with styles that stay in place all day and making sure Mum looks a million dollars too is just a joy,” said Sam.

“I’m just as confident working with long or short hair and for me it’s all about making sure my clients feel as relaxed as possible. Because I travel to you on your big day, you can just enjoy the experience in the comfort of your own home or wedding venue and enjoy the whole experience from start to finish.”

Practice Makes Perfect

I make sure all my brides have a full trial and try out at least a couple of looks. What you think you want might not be what you end up with so remember to keep an open mind!

Choose Your Dress First

The cut and style of your dress can really influence what will look best hair wise. If you have a backless dress for example, it may be sensible to go with an up-do. The overall look of your dress should determine how formal or relaxed your hair is.

Find Your Inspiration

Gather a few looks from magazines and online that you love. Find styles you are drawn to then create a mood board for your ideal looks. Pintrest is great for this.

Choose Your Hair Accessories

Ideally you would have chosen your hair accessories before your trial. This is especially important if you choose to wear a veil as your hair style will need to incorporate your chosen veil.

Look After Your Hair

Don’t over treat your hair in the run up to the big day and treat yourself to some great shampoo that doesn’t contain parabens. Come to the trial with clean, natural hair that hasn’t been straightened or curled.
